Now, it’s been a norm of sorts for the Chinese to come up with cheap, inferior clones of popular products in the west and sell them for much lower prices. With the advent of Android however, things have become slightly easier for device makers. They can just build good hardware and rely completely on Google for the OS. In the latest knock-off example, we have this 7 inch tablet from China that bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain tablet from Dell they call the Streak.

For a change, the features on this one, at least on paper, looks quite impressive. It starts with an ARM Cortex processor that runs at 1.2 GHz and packs in 512MB of RAM. It gets 4GB of internal memory and of course a SD card slot that can take cards of up to 32GB in size. This Streak7 lookalike also packs in a bigger 3,000mAh battery. Connectivity options of course include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI. This one can make phone calls too by the way!
On the OS front, the device comes with Android 2.3 preloaded. This streak copy with an unknown name costs around USD $170.
