In an interview with CNET, Nvidia’s CEO, Jen Hsun Huang has revealed that he isn’t particularly happy with the way things are going for Android tablets. After the head start that Apple received by launching the Apple Pad back in 2010, it was expected that Apple’s reign as the top player in the tablets sphere would be challenged by all these (then) new Honeycomb powered tablets. That however hasn’t seem to have happened.

 The Google Android mascot and brand is getting a lot of coverage in mobile telecom carrier TV ads lately.  Although the name Android and the little green Android robot is not a household name yet, it may soon be if the current trend of showing him in commercials around the world by the telco's.  

The latest Android ads to appear are from Korea's Korean SK Telecom.  They are very short but still fun and cool.

A few hours ago, Google, send an email out to select Android developers offering them a free Nexus One phone.  Not all developers got the email though, developers that have an application with more than 5,000 downloads and maintaining a 3.5 star rating in the Android marketplace.

Google announced today that an update will be pushed to Nexus One phones over the air. This will include "pinch to zoom" functionality in the browser and certain Google apps on the phone. It appears that all android phones won't benefit from this just yet and it will be down to carriers to implement it on all Android devices.

It looks like Google's Android is serious about catching up to the established and polished iPhone user experience. It should be a fun battle to watch!

There are about 20,000 apps out there for the Android platform now, obviously it is impossible to cover them all in one sitting.  Here is a nice list that should get you started or if you are an expert Android user then hopefully you find a few that you didn’t know about!
