Motorola’s upcoming dual core, Android powered handset, the Droid X2 has been in the news in the past couple of weeks. The first news about thee existence of the handset came when a pictures of the phone were leaked. It was followed by another leak that threw some light on the kind of specs this device is expected to sport. Anyway, today, in an official leak of sorts, the Droid X2 has appeared on the websites of both Verizon and Motorola.

Sony Ericsson which has after jumping on to the Android bandwagon started doing well has announced the launch of two new Android powered devices. The handsets, aimed at replacing the Xperia X10 Mini and the X10 Mini Pro lineup have been christened the Xperia Mini and the Mini Pro – removing the X10 tag. Both these handsets run the latest version of Android (Android 2.3. Gingerbread) and offer a wide range of features. Let’s now take a closer look at each of the handsets. We will start with the Xperia Mini.

More details of the Android based HTC Incredible are coming out as the launch date comes nearer.  The Incredible will be launched in a couple weeks from now and will be exclusive to Verizon.  The Android smartphone will be in good company and compete directly against the likes of the other Android superphones with snapdragon 1 GHz processors.

 Another Android superpowered smartphone competitor to Google's Nexus One has arrived, the HTC Incredible.  There have been a lot of rumours and talk around the Internet about this phone for a long time.  Now we finally have an official word on the Incredible. 

The Incredible will be coming out at the end of April with very similar specs to Google's Nexus One. It will sport a speedy 1GHz snapdragon processor along with a large 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen.

Sprint announced yesterday at CTIA, that the first 4G phone is coming to their network this year. 

The phone is made by HTC and is called the HTC EVO 4G.  If just going by the specs sheet, this is the new king of the Android smartphones.

Eric Schmitt, CEO of Google announced at his keynote presentation at the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona this week that it’s Google Android operating system is now shipping 60,000 phones per day.
