Everyone is talking about the iPad as we near it's launch on April 3, 2010 and we are sure to be hearing much more in the coming weeks as shipping time comes closer.
Apple has shown the first iPad commercial at the Oscars this weekend. Will this be looked back on as a historic beginning of a immensely successful product? Or will it wil it be another flop like the Apple Newton was years ago?
We think the former. All the pieces are in place, distribution, partners, content and the proven revenue model (the iPhone / iPad app store of course). And as Apple states, 10s of millions of iPhone and iTouch users already know how to use the iPad.
Time will tell the outcome.
In the meantime, here is the very first Apple iPad commercial in history.
