Today is the day for Apple's big media event, "Sneak Peek Into the Future", where they announced what is coming for the next generation iPhone.  The next version of the iPhone's software will be version 4.0 and many of the features were expected already on the Apple rumour mill.

The ability to multitask on the iPhone has probably been the most requested feature by both users and developers.  For those not familiar with the story, basically the feature has not been available on iPhones to date.  Apple has cited many reasons from security to battery life for not implementing multitasking.

Now it is expected to finally arrive in the next version of the iPhone operating system, version 4.0, widely expected to become available along with the next generation iPhone launch sometime this summer.

While browsing the top free apps in iTunes Apps store today, we found something interesting, a "sexy" app.

While usually this in itself would not be newsworthy, it is today because recently Apple caused a big fuss and totally removed 5000+ "sexy" apps from the iTunes App Store.

Apple is claiming today that they have information saying that multi-tasking will arrive on the iPhone this summer in the 4.0 iPhone software update.  Their sources are people that "have a proven track record in predicting Apple's technological advances".

Security has also been cited for a reason not to allow multitasking.  With so many phones on the market allowing multitasking and mobile network access, consumers are not going to buy that story for very much longer.

There has a big fuss lately about Apple bashing Adobe's Flash platform and refusing to enable it on their iPhone, iTouch, iPad and future mobile devices.

The iPhone mania is still in effect.  People everywhere are still talking about the endless capabilities of the iPhone 3GS. After its release last June of 2009, people can’t get enough of this Apple product craze.  Apple launched its first iPhone in June of 2007; since then it has 2 major tweaks in the iPhone 3G and now the iPhone 3GS. Rave reviews spawned not only for the iPhone itself, but also for the innovation that touch screen technology brings.

Whether you spend a little time in the kitchen or are a gourmet chef, you'll find that the apps that are offered to you by iPhone will suit any, if not all your needs when it comes to helping out in the kitchen. Not only will you find delicious recipes, but you can even find an app that helps you with your grocery list. Here are some of the best apps for the chef in you:

There has been much discussion around the iPhone and how it is only a consumer device, an ipod + mobile phone. It has even been said that the iPhone has no place on any corporate network.

Apple has recently published a new iPhone FAQ on their website and it has a surprise. “For secure Internet access, iPhone supports industry-standard Wi-Fi security and virtual private networking (VPN).” This is great news for those who want to work with the iPhone.

CNET Australia has posted an article that compares the features of both the Apple iPhone and the Nokia N95 side by side. Very interesting. We conclude that everyone is going to have a different preference depending on what they use the phone for.

Another good, long detailed iPhone review, this one by Steven Levy which is posted on MSNBC / Newsweek.

There are many interesting tidbits, here is just one:
