If you think that myspace is a little strange because making friends there is like you are at an office party that is just not going well?  Well, myspace, and other mainstream social networks seem like normality plus plus, compared to some of the strange and wacky social networks out there.  You ain’t seen anythin’ yet.

Everywhere you turn, it looks as if everyone you know is part a social network. Whether it is yourself, your friends, family or fellow employees, there is no doubt that someone you know is involved in one.

Social Networking has come a long way in a relatively short time and for some it still might be something that they are not really sure that they want to be a part of. But there are some good reasons to join and perhaps after reviewing those reasons, those who have been hesitant might have a change of heart.

Remember when thinking about social networks, a lot more can be done with them these days than ever before, so there is also a lot of fun and creativity that can be found by becoming part of one.

Social networks just continue to crop up wherever you are and all over the world. It is like an endless sea of places to go and people to meet. At first glance you might think that it has gone overboard, but with all the different types of people and different ages of people seeking others with the same interests, it is understandable why social networking continues to grow at such an amazing pace.

It wasn’t all that long ago that first time moms didn’t have the kind of support that is available to them now. There was a time when they had to call around to find out where they might get help if at all possible. Things have changed now, especially for any mom that has access to the Internet. The social networking world has begun to reach out to moms who are first timers and to all moms for support.

Just like the common cold, the feeling of loneliness can spread. It can spread extremely fast via the way of social networks. People who tend to find themselves lonely also tend to go online and by words and/or lack of words begin to spread their feeling of loneliness amongst others. This can actually cause others to feel the same way or they may just want to cut their ties to someone who comes on with such negative feelings.

Are you tired of all the flashy colors and huge apps that slow your pages down? Looking for something with a tad more sophistication, substance and less of the “bling”? Well, there are some social networks out there whose designs are sleek, streamline and sophisticated. With these particular sites you’ll be able to join communities and make new friends the same as any other social network, just without all the “eye candy”.

The tourism business is always trying to come up with some way to attract people to their part of the world, country, city, etc. With the boom of social networking sites, it would be a key time for any and all tourism businesses to consider utilizing some of the more popular social networks to entice people to come visit.

With the Internet being so much a part of everyone’s lives, especially the younger generation who doesn’t know a world without it, mainstream journalism has run into some hard times.

With all that can be found on the Internet within a blink of an eye, many journalistic tools that have been a mainstay of the world for 100’s of years are now seeing a decline due to the Internet. It is doubtful that you’ll ever see a young person these days even touch a newspaper let a lone read one. In fact it makes one wonder if they would even know how to read one.

If you have a computer and you have kids, no matter what you do, besides locking the computer up, they are going to want to get on or join a social network. All their friends are doing it, so naturally they are going to want to do the same thing. More times than not this is an OK thing to do. But children are after all children and they simply do not have all the knowledge that we have in making good judgment unless they have help from an adult.
